How the AIS is aiming to improve the ‘long-term brain health’ of people in sport
The Australian Institute of Sport has released new concussion guidelines today in partnership with Sports Medicine Australia and other peak associations, relating to community and youth sport.
Chief Medical Officer of the Australian Institute of Sport, Dr David Hughes, says right now there is “too much variability between different sports about concussion protocols”.
“We need to worry about the long-term brain health of people involved in sport,” Dr Hughes told Ross and Russel.
