Your uneaten hot dog bread and meat pie scraps will now get a second chance at giving life.

The MCG will turn food waste from this year’s Boxing Day Test into fertiliser.

David Berry, general manager of Eco Guardians, told Ross and John the scraps will be dehydrated in a new recycling centre located deep under the Northern Stand.

“It is a cost-saving, but the big driver for the MCC is sustainability,” David Berry said.
