How the Southern Cross roof-walkers story started on live radio

Heidi Murphy, Darren James and Nick McCallum were hosting the Sunday Morning program yesterday when something unusual caught their eye.

“They don’t look like maintenance workers!,” Heidi exclaimed, mid-sentence, on-air.

Four people were traversing the roof of Southern Cross Station.

Phone cameras were whipped out and what eventuated was one of the news stories of the day.
