How the West Gate Bridge maintenance works will be done differently this year

The West Gate Bridge will experience delays from 9pm, Boxing Day, for annual maintenance works concerning some after the events of when the bridge closed last year for maintenance.

Chief of Metro Transport, Alex Green, says three inbound lanes will close and this year will be done differently.

“This year we’ve done a lot of work with Google, we’ve worked very closely with them … any disruptions will show up effectively on google maps, and two lanes will always be open at all times inbound,” he told 3AW Drive.
