“Therapy dogs” are being employed to help the homeless.

The dogs are specially trained to read emotions.

Jess Heerde from Melbourne University says the dogs help reduce the stress and anxiety that comes with being homeless.

“It’s about getting young people engaged with the dogs, to just be in the moment,” Dr Heerde told Tom Elliott.
