How to improve fan behaviour at the footy

A sports sociologist says breathalysing footy fans before they enter stadiums is probably a “step too far” but says more can be done to limit crowd violence.

It comes after the ugly issue was again flung into the spotlight following a brawl at the MCG on Sunday.

Professor Ramon Spaaij, Sports Sociologist from Victoria University, spoke about the problem with Tom Elliott on Monday.
