Tom Elliott is calling on Victoria to adopt recently-announced Queensland laws which allow youth offenders to be penalised in the same way as adults.

The Crisafulli government’s new laws mean offences such as burglary, robbery and serious assault now carry the same penalty, regardless of age.

The 3AW Mornings host said says it’s time the Allan government look at similar laws for Victoria amid the state’s crime wave.
