Human remains found off Bellarine Peninsula

A body has been discovered in waters off Portarlington in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called to Bennetts Head at Portarlington about 6am after reports of human remains were found in the water.

The area has been examined by police and the remains will be taken to the Coroners Court to be forensically tested.
