Tom Elliott and Victoria’s Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commissioner have debated why there are less women in Australia’s boardrooms, in federal politics and in positions of management.

In an opinion piece published in the Herald Sun, the 3AW Drive host noted senior positions aren’t all they are cracked up to be and women know that.

But Victoria’s Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commissioner Kristen Hilton disagreed.

‘We see a drop off at those higher end positions, whether it’s a chair position or directorships, my view is that there are still attitudes and structural impediments to women being able to flourish in those sorts of positions.’
