Tom Elliott says the government is not spending enough on maintaining Victorian roads following reports over 800km/h have been put under restricted use due to the prevalence of pot holes.

He says “promising” to fix the pot holes could be the way for a political party to form government.

“It’s one issue every body has to deal with,” he said.

Chief executive officer of The Victorian Transport Association, Peter Anderson, says the amount of money spend on roads won’t fix them.

“We need to change the system upon how we maintain these roads … they need to maintained all the time,” he told Tom Elliott.
