Hunt for hit-run driver who struck a pregnant woman in Coburg

Police are ramping up the search for a driver who hit a pregnant woman in Coburg.

The pregnant woman suffered a broken leg in the hit-run collision on Sydney Road on August 26.

Almost two weeks on and the driver involved in the collision remains on the run.

Investigators have today released CCTV footage of a red Ford hatchback they believe was travelling northbound and veered into the left lane, hitting the woman as she was getting out of her vehicle at about 10am on August 26.

The driver did not stop to render assistance.

The woman was taken to hospital.

Anyone who can identify the driver or the vehicle involved is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
