Hunt for man who paused car theft to remove a sleeping baby from the back seat
Shepparton Divisional Response Unit officers are appealing for public assistance to identify a man following the alleged theft of a vehicle with a sleeping baby inside.

Police were told that on November 14, at around 2pm, a red Volkswagen was parked in a supermarket carpark while the victim quickly ran into the store, leaving the sleeping baby inside the vehicle.
Victoria Police told 3AW Breakfast “the red Volkswagen was then stolen, reversed out of the car park”.
“The offender has realised that there was a baby in the back seat, removed the child and placed it in a box in the car park before driving away.
“Thankfully, the victim returned and located the toddler.”
