‘I can’t see why’: Road funding ‘slashed’ in regional Victoria

Spokesperson for Regional Cities Victoria, Shane Dali, has been left feeling disappointed by the state government after they slashed funding to ongoing road maintenance in regional Victoria.

Funding for roads has gone from $702.2 million in 2020 to just $441.6 million in yesterday’s state budget.

“I can’t see why they would slash funding to the upgrade and constant maintenance of our state infrastructure, in particular regional Victoria,” Mr Dali told Neil Mitchell.
