‘I couldn’t believe it’: Fans fume over Elton John VIP package

Ticketek is in the gun with some dedicated Elton John fans who claim they were misled over the “ultimate” VIP package.

Sue told Neil Mitchell she spent more than $1000 on tickets as a Christmas present for her 14-year-old son, with a string of perks and experiences attached.

But things took an alarming turn when they arrived at AAMI Park on Saturday night.

“I showed the guy at the VIP counter our tickets and he looked really uncomfortable and said ‘I’m really sorry, there’s been an error and Ticketek had been misleading’ and all we’d actually purchased was a seat,”

“I couldn’t believe it.”
