‘I don’t get this’: Tom Elliott takes exception to Victoria’s first permanent pill testing centre

Tom Elliott has taken exception to the announcement of Victoria’s first permanent pill testing centre to open in August.
The centre will open on Brunswick Street in Fitzroy, but the 3AW Mornings host doubts many people will even go there.
“We are suspending the rule of law,” he said.

The centre will be open from Thursdays to Saturdays, and comes after a successful pill testing trial at five music festivals over the summer period.
State opposition leader Brad Battin was then asked about the pill testing centre, and wonders whether the Fitzroy community were consulted by the state government before the announcement.
“This government has a habit of announcing it, and then going and speaking to the residents and the shop owners,” Battin said on 3AW Mornings.
