Tom Elliott has criticised a reignited proposal for houses that have ‘been empty for 12 months or more’.

“I see what he’s saying. He treats housing as a human right, not as a thing to be speculated upon to make money out of, and housing can be both,” the 3AW Mornings host said.
“I’ve got to say, I don’t think that’s a good idea,” he added.
Former member of the Squatters Union of Victoria and former squatter, Rohan Wightman, said “I think it’s immoral to deny people housing just to make money”.
