I thought she was going to hit me: P-plater surprised by old lady’s reaction

The driver who was stopped by a little old lady so she could commend him for his driving said he thought he was about to be the victim of a road rage attack.

The video, which has been viewed more than a quarter of a million times online, shows an old lady stopping in the middle of the road and getting out of her car.

She approaches the driver of the car behind her, only to say she just stopped because she wanted to commend the young man for his driving.

Twenty-year-old P-plater Josh Reeve told Neil Mitchell the woman’s reaction was far kinder than he was expecting.

“I thought I was going to get road rage attacked, I was very relieved she was commending me and not going to hit me,” Josh said.

“It was really sweet of her, maybe not the best time in the world to do it.

“Maybe not in the middle of an intersection.”
