‘I want the detail’: Heidi Murphy clashes with Jacinta Allan over CFA funding fallout

Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan continues to reject claims that funding to the CFA has been reduced as criticism mounts from volunteers over ageing vehicles and equipment.

Heidi Murphy grilled the Premier on the matter, asking, “Where is this other money that you say is there, that the board says is there, that the chief officer says is there?”

The CFA board has also released a statement on the matter, stating, “The CFA disputes claims that funding has been cut and disputes claims that our volunteers and brigades are not prepared for the current fire season.”
