Ian Chappell on what Steve Smith’s ‘biggest punishment’ will be

Australian cricket great Ian Chappell says Steve Smith’s “biggest punishment” will be with the public.

He told Ross and John he couldn’t see how Smith would ever get captaincy back.

“He’s already suffered punishment from the ICC, but that’s not going to be his biggest punishment,” Chappell said on 3AW Breakfast.

“It’s going to be going out in public.”
