Ian Chappell wraps up Day 2 of the Gabba Test
Australia is in a strong position after Day 2 at the Gabba.
New Zealand ended the day on 5/157, 399 runs short of Australia’s 4-556 declared.
Chappell said the Aussies took full advantage of the home conditions.
‘The extra pace and bounce of the Australian bowlers made a big difference,’ Chappell told Sports Today on Friday.
Chappell said David Warner showed maturity in his innings of 163, describing him as a ‘damn fine player’.
