Ian Jamieson has been jailed for life for killing his three neighbours at Wedderburn
A man, who murdered his three neighbours at Wedderburn in 2014, has been jailed for life with a 30 year minimum.
Ian Francis Jamieson stabbed his 48-year-old neighbour Greg Holmes to death in a dispute over a dirt road.
He claimed it was sending up dust and making his house dirty.
On the same day, he targeted the man’s mother Mary and her husband Peter Lockhart, both in their seventies, shooting them dead at their home.
In sentencing, Supreme Court justice Elizabeth Hollingworth set a minimum term of 30 years.
Speaking outside the court, Mrs Lockhart’s son Paul Holmes, said the family isn’t looking 30 years ahead to a possible release.
Family members will gather in October, to mark what would have been Greg Holmes’ 50th birthday.
