‘I’d rather walk’: Shane McInnes takes aim at Jetstar after flight bungle

Shane McInnes has taken aim at Jetstar after multiple incidents left passengers stranded.

A flight departing Melbourne for Bali on Wednesday night was turned back just 40 minutes from its destination, after Jetstar failed to notify Indonesian authorities a change to its aircraft size.

Jetstar referred to the incident as “miscommunication”.

“It wasn’t miscommunication at all,” Shane said on 3AW Mornings.

“Jetstar stuffed up.

“And as a result, passengers had to return to Melbourne, start the check-in process all over again.

“Some were apparently given hotel rooms and meal vouchers, others got nothing.”
