Impromptu Christmas carol charms passengers at Melbourne Airport

An airport staff member has burst into song over the PA, crooning an impromptu Christmas carol in one of the lounges at Tullamarine.

Virgin Australia guest services attendant Bethany Stagg was updating passengers on flight schedules on Monday when she broke into a rendition of the Judy Garland classic Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.

Bethany told Tony Jones she just wanted to bring a little festive cheer to the lounge.

“I thought about it for a couple of minutes and thought what a great opportunity to lift people’s spirits,” she said.

“I had a couple of guests come up to me and thank me and wish me merry Christmas.”
