Industry expert reveals farmers are concerned by new energy projects
Australian farmers have warned Australia cannot afford to blanket prime agricultural land with energy projects thanks to a push to green energy projects.
National Farmers’ Federation president, David Jochinke, says farmers want to have a serious discussion about the location of new energy projects across the nation.
“We’re seeing transmission lines and the actual renewable infrastructure … popping up all over the state and as National Farmers are concerned, we want to make sure that they’re in the best place,” he told Tom Elliott.
