Inner-city councillor walks out on minute’s silence for the Queen

A Moreland City councillor walked out on the minute’s silence to honour the Queen at a council meeting on Wednesday night.

“Royal Snub” alerted The Rumour File to the news on Thursday morning.

Moreland City Mayor, Mark Riley, confirmed with Tom Elliott on 3AW Drive that one of his colleagues had excused themselves, but wouldn’t be drawn on why, or whether or not he thought it was disrespectful.
