Inquiry into major supermarkets’ behaviour reveal key recommendations

An independent review into the major supermarkets has called for tough penalties and a mandatory code of conduct.
Independent reviewer of the food and grocery code of conduct and former federal minister of small business, Dr Craig Emerson, says the ACCC would have to through the courts.
“The fundamental problem is that the supermarkets have a lot of bargaining power, and most suppliers have very little,” he told Tom Elliott.
