Inquiry into organ donation reveals key recommendations to boost registration numbers

An inquiry into organ donation has shared recommendations to increase organ donor registrations as less than a quarter of Victorians are registered.

Committee chair and Labor MP for Lara, Ella George, says one recommendation is a feature, which used to be available 20 years ago.

“South Australia still has that system, and has the highest rate of registered organ and tissue donors at 72 per cent,” she told Heidi Murphy, filling in for Jacqui Felgate.
