INTERVIEW: Bill Nighy is in Melbourne to promote his latest film ‘Their Finest’

Article image for INTERVIEW: Bill Nighy is in Melbourne to promote his latest film ‘Their Finest’

Celebrated British actor Bill Nighy has revealed what makes him cry in a relaxed chat with entertainment reporter Donna Demaio.

He also reflects on the enduring success of Love Actually and defines what colour suits men should wear.

Nighy is in Melbourne ahead of the release of his new film called Their Finest. The movie is set in London in 1940 during the Blitz.

Catrin, an untried screenwriter, and a makeshift cast and crew, work to make a film to lift the nation’s spirits – and inspire America to join the war.

A witty, romantic and moving portrayal of a young woman finding her way, and her voice.

Nighy is brilliant – playing a pompous ageing, self-absorbed actor.
