Intruder stabbed with own weapon during afternoon home invasion

A home intruder has been stabbed with his own knife during an aggravated burglary at Keysborough.

Police believe a female inside the Gemini Court home was confronted by a man with a knife on Friday afternoon.

A struggle then took place, where the intruder was stabbed.

He was found nearby with non-life threatening injuries and taken to hospital under police guard.

The exact circumstances are being investigated.

The female is being treated for minor injuries.
