Handing your valid parking ticket over to another driver could be against the law.

Surely not, but if your ticket states it’s non-transferable, you could in-fact be breaking a contract.

Tony Jones spoke with David Galbally from Madgwicks Lawyers and he says  -‘It’s the terms and conditions on that ticket that you are to comply with’.

It may not be policed, but are the days of – ‘Here’s my parking ticket, jump in here, i’m leaving.’ – done and dusted? 

This comes after Josh Denney stopped a thief stealing items from his car, then offered his valid parking ticket to another driver.
