Is it OK to brake in automatic car using your left foot?

Apparently so.

Tom Elliott revealed on Friday he used his left foot to brake when driving an automatic.

Geoff Thomas, from Murcotts Driving Excellence, said it was fine.

‘If that’s working for you and you can stop the car efficiently, that’s fine,’ he said.

But plenty of 3AW Drive listeners didn’t agree!
