Shane McInnes clashes with former counter-terrorism officer over Bondi shooter

Shane McInnes has clashed with former counter-terrorism officer with the Australian Federal Police, Dr John Coyne, over Bondi shooter Naveed Akram.

The 3AW host and Dr Coyne went back-and-forth about whether it was an intelligence failure that more wasn’t done by ASIO before Sunday’s massacre at Bondi Beach.

“The issue here is the terminology, he (Akram) was not on a watchlist,” Dr Coyne told McInnes.
