‘It doesn’t reflect the investment’: Calls for major reform in fruit and vegetable industry grow
The president of the National Farmers’ Federation is calling for reform in the fruit and vegetable industry.
David Jochinke says farmers are being-short changed by major supermarkets such as Coles and Woolworths, backing Nationals Leader David Littleproud who recently said major change was needed.
“A lot of the pricing you see at the supermarket doesn’t reflect what farmers get at the farm gate,” he told Heidi Murphy on 3AW Drive.
