‘It won’t stand up’: Employment law expert shuts down Jacinta Allan’s WFH policy

Employment law expert and managing director of Melbourne-based employment law boutique McDonald Murholme, Alan McDonald, has shut down Premier Jacinta Allan’s proposed work from home policy.

It comes after a Melbourne man who refused to comply with his company’s return-to-office policy failed to have his dismissal overturned, despite signing a contract that allowed him to work from home.

“It won’t stand up, there’s very good laws in there already,” Mr McDonald told Jacqui Felgate.
