‘It’s a band-aid’: Liberal MP slams three-week Chapel Street blitz

Victoria Police have started a high-intensity, three-week police blitz on Chapel Street, designed to crack down on rising violence and retail crime.

Speaking on 3AW Mornings with Heidi Murphy, member for Prahran Rachel Westaway said while “police presence is what everybody is crying out for”, a blitz was not “consistent or regular” enough to fix the systemic safety issues facing local traders and residents.
