‘It’s a war on aspiration’: Angus Taylor on his Budget reply
The Federal Opposition’s budget reply has got heads turning, but not enough to overtake One Nation in the latest popularity polls.
With the Liberal Party taking a strong stance on the correlation between immigration and Australia’s worsening housing crisis, promising to actively combat it if the party comes to power.
Speaking with Tom Elliott, Angus Taylor, Federal Opposition leader, leader of the Federal Liberal Party, vowed to remove recently arrived individuals from being able to receive welfare payments.

“We need to make sure population growth is managed, is at a rate in line with the housing we have got and we are doing everything we can to increase the supply of housing” Taylor said.
Treasurer Jim Chalmers’ Budget radically overhauled housing tax concessions, despite the Government previously saying it wouldn’t, being one of the biggest overhauls of the tax system in 20 years.
