‘It’s chaos’: Neil Mitchell blasts Eastern Health over handling of major outage

Neil Mitchell has taken aim at Eastern Health over its handling of a “significant” IT system outage.

Staff cannot access their emails or phones, or patient medical records, and surgeons have been directed only to proceed with elective surgeries if they “know the patient well”.

Neil Mitchell says it’s “bedlam” and Eastern Health needs to provide more information.

“One of your major health networks is in chaos. Elective surgery has been cancelled, appointments are being cancelled — it’s dangerous.

“They have to answer to this,” the 3AW Mornings host said.
