‘It’s nonsense really’: Top roads cop left frustrated after horror start to road safety blitz
It’s been a horror start to Victoria Police’s summer road safety blitz, with a toddler struck and killed in Dandenong North and a motorcyclist killed in a collision in Edithvale yesterday.
Police have conducted almost 50 thousand breath tests since the operation launched on Friday, with 127 drivers busted driving over the limit.
“That’s just mind-boggling that people would be so stupid that they would think they would get away with this,” Assistant Commissioner for Road Policing Glenn Weir told Tony Jones.
