‘It’s ridiculous’: Matthew Richardson weighs in on Opening Round

There has been a lot of negative feedback towards the AFL because their decision to have opening round for a second year in a row.

Matthew Richardson had his say on Opening Round, saying it’s “ridiculous” that all 18 teams aren’t featured in the first round of footy.

“It feels flat around town, there is nothing happening in Melbourne,” Richardson said on 3AW Football.

“We should be kicking it off with all of the teams playing in the opening weekend.”
