‘It’s ridiculous!’: The emerging trend which caught Tom Elliott’s attention

Tom Elliott has shed light on three examples of organisations and groups hiring private security guards to curb crime in Victoria.

The 3AW Mornings host thinks this emerging trend highlights a “failing” justice system.

And there was one example in particular which Elliott thought was “ridiculous”.

“What does it say about our justice system?” he said.

Owner of private security company YPG Risk, Grant Burton, said it’s “disheartening” for security guards dealing with repeat offenders, with police officers also frustrated.

“It’s a major failure across the whole system,” Mr Burton told Tom Elliott.
