‘It’s so frustrating’: Bushfire prone town still left without mobile phone tower after FOUR years

Tom Elliott

Residents in Goldie, located north of Melbourne between Lancefield and Kilmore, have been lobbying for years to build a mobile phone tower in the town due to the shocking reception.

Neil Mitchell was first alerted to this issue by volunteer firefighter and Goldie local, Richard Thornton, back on November 27 2019, and there’s STILL no mobile phone tower after four years, ahead of bushfire season.

“It’s so frustrating,” Mr Thornton told Neil Mitchell.
