A drastic plan to segregate footy fans is being considered after another nasty brawl.

That extreme measure is one of many being considered by Kardinia Park after a dozen men were captured on video kicking and punching each other following Saturday night’s thriller between Geelong and Melbourne.

Kardinia Park Stadium Trust chief Michael Brown said the stadium already serves mid-strength beer and slows alcohol service by shutting down purchase points.

But he said “sadly it looks like at this stage we need to review again”.

Asked whether segregation was on the agenda, Mr Brown did not back away.

“That’s a possibility,” he said.

“It’s something I wouldn’t want to see … but, again, if people can’t control their behavior we need to look at this.

“I’ve been around AFL footy for a lifetime and it’s very, very sad. It’s absolutely disgusting.”
