Ross Stevenson has delivered an interesting story to kick off the Rumour File this morning, relating to a women’s only camping festival and an RACV roadside operator.

The wellbeing event is called the ‘Seven Sisters Festival’, located in Glenaroua in central Victoria.

“I’ve got a corker!” the 3AW Breakfast host said.

RACV have since released the following statement:

RACV can confirm that our Emergency Roadside Assistance team were called to assist a member at the Seven Sisters Festival in Glenaroua.

Upon inspecting the vehicle, the RACV Emergency Roadside Assistance Patrol advised the member that a tow truck would be required.

The tow truck was unable to gain access to the vehicle, as the festival had begun.

To RACV’s knowledge, gender was not a factor in this process.

It is not unusual for tow trucks to be denied access to festivals or similar events once they have commenced, due to safety considerations.

Once the festival had finished, RACV was able to re-establish contact with the member and a tow truck was organised.
