Jacqui Felgate criticises Labor of pork-barreling over Western Freeway commitment

Jacqui Felgate has slammed Labor’s decision to commit $1 billion to revamp the Western Freeway.

“If it’s a safety issue, why does it take an election to fix it? Why did the government not give two hoots about the people of the west?” she said.

Infrastructure Minister Catherine King defended Labor’s decision, saying they partnered with the state government before the last election to do a business case.
“We recognise there’s a problem,” she said.
