Jacqui Felgate questions Jacinta Allan on SRL funding after federal election result

Jacqui Felgate has questioned Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan on whether she thinks the federal Labor government will give additional funding for the Suburban Rail Loop after Saturday’s big election win.

Federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers previously stated on 3AW Mornings that the government hadn’t budgeted for more funding for the project, but the Premier told Felgate “we are going to work with our partner in Canberra”.

“Once again, Victorians have shown that they both want and need and understand why the Suburban Rail Loop is such an important project,” Allan said on 3AW Drive.
