Jacqui Felgate ‘staggered’ at sentence reductions for prisoners due to Covid lockdowns

29-year old mother of two Katie Haley was bludgeoned to death by her partner Shane Robertson in 2018.

He was sentenced to 24 years in prison with a non-parole period of 19 years.

However, he has now had his sentenced reduced by more then 400 days due to the pandemic because of legislation implemented by the government.

“It absolutely staggered me,” Felgate said on 3AW Drive.
