Jacqui Lambie ?has introduced a bill into federal parliament that will ban full face coverings in public places.

But the independent Senator denies it’s specifically aimed at banning the burqa.

Ms Lambie told Neil Mitchell the law would prevent people from covering their faces on Commonwealth land when Australia’s terror threat was at the third highest level.

Those who broke the law would face a fine of $3600.

‘It targets everybody,’ Ms Lambie said.

‘You’ve seen the Right-wing radicals out there, for goodness sake, covering their face and causing havoc on our streets and putting the police in danger.

‘You know what? Show your faces. Don’t be a coward.

‘Everybody is included in this.’
