Jake Carlisle requests trade from Essendon

Jake Carlisle’s Essendon career is finished.

The tall utility has officially requested a trade, with St Kilda and Carlton believed to be in the box seat to land the 23-year-old.

Essendon said while it was ‘disappointed’ by Carlisle’s decision, it would now focus on working towards a ‘positive outcome’ during the trade period.

‘Jake and his management have indicated they wish to work with the club to ensure a fair and reasonable trade deal that is appropriate for both parties, and this what we will be endeavouring to achieve,’ the club said in a statement.
