The father of the Jalal brothers charged over controversial prank videos says his heavily pregnant wife was terrified when several counter-terrorism officers stormed their South Morang home yesterday.

The two Jalal brothers will reappear in court in May on multiple charges including weapons offences.

A third person, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, has also been charged.

Their father, Michael Jalal, told Neil Mitchell he doesn’t approve of the videos.

But he claims the police response was a heavy-handed.

‘One police officer or two police officers would’ve been enough to come and ask for the kids – not that big force,’ Mr Jalal said.

‘I’m not sure what they were looking to achieve or what they were looking for.’
