James Hird has car stolen during home invasion

James Hird has had his house broken into and car stolen in a home invasion.

Police confirmed they were investigating the circumstances surrounding an aggravated burglary at Toorak overnight.

It is believed unknown offenders attended a residential address between 12am and 1.30am this morning.

A silver Audi Q7 station wagon, registration XCA-676, was stolen.

The family, including children, were home at the time.

They were unaware what had happened until Friday morning.

Electronic goods were also taken.
